Bryan Latchaw
Executive Pastor/ Director of Ministries
I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at a young age. My parents were missionaries in Nigeria, West Africa and one day, my brother and I were playing around a newly dug foundation when he told me that if I fell in and died I would go to hell. As you might imagine, I ran to our mother who calmed me down and explained how to have a personal relationship with God. It wasn’t until my sophomore year in college that I began to wrestle with owning faith (as my own) and dealing with issues of God’s will for me and His “call” on my life. I re-dedicated my life to God at Urbana ’79 (an InterVarsity Missions Conference). In the years that have followed, I have been responding to God’s call to serve Him. I believe I am still learning that my relationship with God is a process of growth by God’s grace and through the practice spiritual disciplines. I am becoming more and more aware of how sinful I am and how great God’s love is for me. I am also learning the meaning and application of God’s grace to me and my obligation to live graciously.
